LEGO Ideas is looking for minifigure adventures at home

Following a year or more spent in some form of lockdown, LEGO Ideas is calling for builds demonstrating minifigures finding ways to have fun at home.

Most of us have been forced to stay inside for the past nearly 18 months, unable to do things like go on holiday and see friends and family – and, indeed, many of us in countries around the world are still under restrictions. With all that in mind, the latest LEGO Ideas activity asks users to come up with ways for their minifigures to go on adventures at home.

“Okay, so maybe your minifigures didn’t go on holiday,” the brief reads. “Did they find a way to be adventurous at home instead? We’d love to see how they manage to create daily adventures with whatever they find around your house or garden.”

You’ve got until August 17 at 9am UK time to enter a submission for this activity. As usual, there’s no tangible prize on offer – instead, you’ll have to settle for the glory of taking part. (And it’s the taking part that counts, right?) Head over to the activity page for the full terms and conditions, and to see all the entries so far.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
